The TPS63001 is a high-efficiency buck-boost converter operating from 1.8 V to 5.5 V input and providing a fixed 3.3 V output with up to 800 mA output current . It uses synchronous rectification to achieve up to 96% efficiency and automatically transitions between buck and boost modes as the input voltage varies around the output voltage, providing seamless regulation. Quiescent current is 40 μA typical. The device includes load disconnect during shutdown, power-save mode for light-load efficiency, and 100% duty cycle for the lowest dropout. Packaged in a 10-pin VSON (3 mm × 3 mm), it is ideal for battery-powered portable equipment where the supply voltage can vary above and below the output voltage. Applications include portable medical devices, handheld instruments, and wireless sensors requiring a stable 3.3 V rail from Li-Ion or alkaline batteries.
