The TRS3243ECDBR is a high-speed (1 Mbit/s) RS-232 line driver/receiver from Texas Instruments, consisting of three drivers and five receivers . It meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V supply . The device features ±15-kV HBM and IEC 61000-4-2 (air-gap) ESD protection, and ±8-kV IEC 61000-4-2 (contact) ESD protection on RS-232 pins . The dual charge pump requires only four 0.1µF external capacitors for operation, and the device operates at data signaling rates up to 1 Mbit/s . Housed in a 28-pin SSOP (DB) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C . Applications include high-speed serial communication, telecommunications equipment, and any system requiring fast RS-232 data transmission with multiple drivers and receivers.
