The TUSB216IRWBR is a third-generation USB 2.0 high-speed signal conditioner (redriver) from Texas Instruments, designed to address both AC and DC losses in transmission channels. It features a unique patented edge booster and DC boost functions that accelerate transition edges and enhance static levels, improving signal quality without compromising packet timing or introducing latency. The device supports data rates of up to 480 Mbps and can drive USB 2.0 high-speed signals through up to 5 meters of cable. It includes an integrated BC 1.2 battery charging controller, supports USB On-The-Go (OTG) protocols, and operates from a supply voltage of 2.3V to 6.5V. Housed in a 12-pin X2QFN (RWB) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include USB-C device compatibility, laptops, smartphones, and systems requiring high-speed USB signal integrity restoration over long cables.
