UC2845BD1013TR ST AC-DC Controllers

The UC2845BD1013TR is a fixed frequency current-mode PWM controller, very similar to the UC3845B but with extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C or higher, designed for harsh environments where wider temperature tolerance is required. For selection, verify the UVLO thresholds of 8.5V (turn-on) and 7.6V (turn-off), and maximum duty cycle of 48% (limited to <50% by an internal flip-flop). This device shares the same 500kHz maximum frequency, trimmed oscillator, high-current totem pole output, low start-up current, latching PWM for cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and automatic feed-forward compensation as the UC3845B, but the wider temperature range qualifies it for industrial and automotive applications where standard commercial grade devices may not be suitable. Applications include off-line flyback converters (using UC2844's 16V UVLO) or DC-DC converters (using UC2845's lower 8.5V UVLO), automotive power systems, industrial power supplies, battery chargers in outdoor environments, and any harsh-environment SMPS requiring extended temperature reliability.
