UCC28019ADR TI Power Factor Correction (PFC)
The UCC28019A is an 8-pin active Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller operating in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM). It is designed for boost topologies operating from universal AC mains (85V to 265V AC). The device features an accurate voltage amplifier reference (1.9V) and a trimmed oscillator frequency (65 kHz typical). It includes a peak current limit, soft start, and a VCC UVLO threshold of 11V (on) and 8.8V (off). Selection is optimal for power supplies requiring high power factor (>0.95) and low THD. Applications include AC-DC adapters for computers and TVs, LED lighting drivers, industrial power supplies, and appliances requiring compliance with EN61000-3-2 harmonic current limits .
