UCC28180DR TI Power Factor Correction (PFC)

The UCC28180DR is a programmable-frequency, continuous conduction mode (CCM) boost Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller from Texas Instruments in SOIC-8 surface-mount package. For selection, verify VCC supply from 10.5V to 21V, switching frequency programmable between 18kHz and 250kHz to support both MOSFET and IGBT switches, output drive capability of 1.5A source and 2A sink peak currents, operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C, and features including average current-mode control, cycle-by-cycle peak current limit, output overvoltage protection, soft start, and low start-up current below 75µA. Features include AC line sensing elimination reducing external component count, VFF for better noise immunity, and enhanced dynamic response.
