ULN2803CDWR TI Power Distribution Switches, Load Drivers
The ULN2803C is a high-voltage, high-current darlington transistor array featuring eight NPN darlington pairs with common emitters. It operates with output voltage up to 50V and each channel can sink up to 500mA continuous current. Integrated suppression diodes are included for inductive load protection, eliminating the need for external flyback diodes. Inputs are compatible with 5V TTL and CMOS logic. The device features 2.7kΩ input resistors for direct operation from logic supplies. The eight channels are independent with their own input and output pins, allowing flexible configuration. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Selection is standard for driving multiple inductive loads requiring high current sinking capability. Applications include relay drivers for industrial controls, stepper motor drivers, LED and incandescent lamp drivers, solenoid drivers, and printer mechanisms requiring eight high-current open-collector drivers in a single 20-pin SOIC package.
