The USB2514B-I/M2 from Microchip is a low-power, configurable 4-port USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub controller with MultiTRAK™ technology, which provides one transaction translator per port for maximum data throughput in mixed-speed USB environments. For selection, it operates from a single 3.3V supply over -40°C to +85°C, supports USB Battery Charging Rev 1.1 on all downstream ports, and offers over 30 programmable features including PortMap, PortSwap, and PHYBoost to simplify PCB layout and minimise BOM cost. Configuration is via pin strapping, I²C EEPROM, or SMBus. In application, it is ideal for expanding USB connectivity in LCD monitors and TVs, multi-function USB peripherals, PC motherboards, set-top boxes, DVD/DVR players, printers and scanners, PC media drive bays, portable hub boxes, mobile PC docking stations, and embedded systems where robust, space-saving, industrial-grade USB hub performance is essential.
