The IRFS7440TRLPBF from Infineon is a StrongIRFET N‑channel MOSFET delivering exceptional current handling and ultra‑low conduction loss. For selection, it operates at 40 V with a continuous drain current of up to 208 A and a maximum RDS(on) of 2.5 mΩ at 10 V, which dramatically reduces I²R losses. The gate charge (90 nC typical) and low input capacitance (4.7 nF) facilitate efficient switching, while its rugged design features enhanced avalanche and dynamic dv/dt capability. The D2PAK surface‑mount package enables compact, high‑density layouts. In application, it excels in brushed and BLDC motor drives, battery‑powered circuits, half‑/full‑bridge and resonant‑mode power supplies, synchronous rectification, OR‑ing switches, DC/DC and AC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters, and UPS systems.
